Under the supervision of the Nursing Supervisor, an RN or LPN will evaluate the client’s care. They will visit the client to ensure that the daily care provided by the workers is being carried as directed, and that treatment is being administered in accordance with the physician’s instructions and the patients POC (Plan Of Care). The RN or LPN may set up, organize, and take note of the client’s medications. They are also to take the clients temperature, pulse, blood pressure and other vital signs to detect deviations from the normal baseline and assess the overall condition of the client. They are to observe the client and record any significant conditions and/or reactions. Following the visit the RN or LPN will notify the physician of the client’s condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents that occurred during the visit.
